The Magnificence that is the Marsh Harrier

No matter how many times I watch our local male Marsh Harrier, it is always so amazing. He was very busy today predating the reserves new arrivals. At one point he was a few feet away as he plucked a coot chick from a roadside drain. I only managed a shot as he flew off into the sunshine, so only a dark record shot was obtained. We were then treated to fantastic views at close range later in the day. I have tried to include different aspects of this bird in these photos, I took so many photos of this wonderful bird today, I have had to ruthless and not keep too many!
