We decided to have a few hours on Risby Warren, had to get a bus to Dragonby then walk 1.5 miles or so to Risby, we covered a large area, probably only about half of it, it is such a vast area, then a 2 mile walk back to catch the bus back home. Both of us were achy and tired and so ready for a cuppa when we got back home!
We had hoped to catch up with some early Grayling butterflies but despite searching didnt see any. It was generally quiet but highlights were a couple of mewing Common Buzzard, a family of Mistle Thrush and a close encounter with a Treecreeper.
Still, an enjoyable walk.
